Fifteen McTeggart Irish Dancers will be competing at the Worlds this week as follows:

Caitlyn Webber, Girls 16-17 Wednesday
Martin Garfield Levine, Boys 16-17 Wednesday
Zane Glotzbach, Mens 16-17 Wednesday
Claire McNellan, Ladies 18-19 Thursday
Natascha Trellinger, Ladies 18-19 Thursday
Emily Snell, Ladies 18-19 Thursday
Jason Hays, Mens 17-18 Thursday
Josh Lewis, Mens 18-19 Thursday
Blaine Donovan, Mens 18-19 Thursday
Betty Thompson, Ladies 19-21 Friday
Hannah McSwiggen, Ladies over 21 Friday
Kimberly Coleman, Ladies over 21 Friday
Competition kicked off on Sunday with the younger age groups. The first four new World Champions are:
Sean Downes, Glasgow, Scotland Boys 12-13
Connor Carlton, Midlands, England Boys 11-12
Jordan McCormick, Mayo, Ireland Boys 11-12
Cyra Taylor, Derry, Ireland, Girls 10-11
Texas was represented by Christy Jensen, O'Maoileidigh Houston in the Boys 10-11.
Michael Flatley has sponsored most of the first place trophies and is expected to attend the Worlds later this week. Michael Flatley's teacher from his World Championship Days Dennis Dennehy is in attendance with his daughter Kathy who has a number of students competing. Some may remember Dennis from his days teaching in San Antonio.
