Traditional Irish Christmas Ceili Update
The Traditional Irish Christmas Ceili will be held on December 20, 2008 from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Radius Café, 106 Auditorium Circle, San Antonio, Texas (phone number is 896-1985). Music will be provided by Jim and Maggie Fox and Linda Clapp. Food will not be served at the Ceili, however, sodas, beer and wine and deserts will be available. We are happy to announce our return to the Radius Café for our Ceili’s. There is lots of dancing space and tables.

All Irish dancers, musicians and performers in our San Antonio Community are welcome to attend and bring friends and family. There is no admission charge and parking in the area is free. Mark your calendar and plan on attending.

World Championship Of Irish Dancing In Philadelphia in 2009
The “Worlds” will be held in Philadelphia at the Kimmel Center at Easter, next year, 2009, from April 5th to the 12th. Booking hotels has already begun. If you are not a participant you may not want to stay in the expensive downtown hotels. You can stay in the suburbs and take commuter transportation to downtown. McTeggart will again have entries at the Worlds including our World Champion Jason Hayes from Fort Worth.

Sunday Class Information
McTeggart Irish Dancers of San Antonio hold classes on Sundays at the Performing Arts School of Classical Ballet
located at 2147 NW Military Highway, San Antonio.

Class times and schedules are as follows:

Christie’s Schedule:
Beginner Class is 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM
Figures / Ceili Class is 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM (all dancers Children & Adults)
Intermediate Class is 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM
Advanced Class is 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM

Jenny’s Schedule:
Beginner Class is 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM
Advanced Beginners 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM
Figures / Ceili Class is 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM (all dancers Children & Adults)
Intermediate and Advanced Class is 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM

Tuesday Class Information
McTeggart Irish Dancers of San Antonio hold class on Tuesdays at North Broadway Performing Arts Center, 9315 Broadway – San Antonio, Texas 78217. The Beginner Kids Class is from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM and Beginner Adults Class is from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM.

These are beginner classes. No previous dance experience required. All adults are welcome! For adults this is the exercise program you have been looking for. It is intended to be a fun class. You only need to learn the basic steps to participate in group dances, generally referred to as Figures or Ceili dancing.

Private Lessons
Private Lessons are available by appointment seven days a week.
